Happily sitting in on Saturday night, watching the Doctor defeat the Master in a titanic struggle of Good versus Evil.
We could hear a few sirens and the sound of a helicopter going overhead outside, but thought nothing of it.
Tuning into the news later on we found that a bigger drama had been unfolding in real life, about half a mile down the road.
