Hangover today, after a good night out last night. Leaving do for a work colleague.
Snacks and beer in the private area of The Newz Bar. On to Andersons Bar for more beer and man with a guitar, and a backing band in a box entertainment. Finished off the night in Revolution vodka bar in the Cavern quarter, dancing until 1am and taxi home.

Lady Boys
Went for a works night out on Friday.
This was a management instigated / team building / social event, rather than just a spontaneous night out.
As ever with these events there was a theme. This time it was a Treasure Hunt/Pub Quiz.
Starting in the first pub, each team received a packet of envelopes. Each envelope had the name of the next pub on it in anagram form, followed by a set of questions on things that could be observed inside the pub, and some general knowledge questions too.
Although it wasn't a race (wasn't it?), my team managed to get round the pubs pretty quickly, which were:
The Exchange Bar (Old Hall Street).
Thomas Rigby's.
The Beaconsfield Bar.
T.P. Molloys.
Revolution.
Temples Bar (Temple St).
We did OK on the observation questions, but not so well on the General knowledge. I think that we came last, but after a drink in each pub, a good buffet, a melon cooler, more beer and then two shots (zambuka and green after shock) - who cared?
Just before we left the last place a couple of Lady Boys / Drag Artists appeared in the bar. (I think that they were doing a promotion for the place - it's not far from Garlands), and started doing a show by crawling along the bar, and generally mincing about.
One of the chaps we were with decided that it would be a good laugh to pose for his picture with them. I'll see if I can get hold of a copy sometime.
We nipped back to T.P. Molloys for another beer, and a last shot of some sort of liquer in a tube then it was time for a taxi home. Since most of the drinks had been free, courtesy of our bosses, I hadn't spent much at all.
Not a bad night out at all.

Pre New Year Night Out
No baby-sitter tomorrow night, so we had a night out tonight instead at "Vinci's" on Allerton road.
Trendy bar - recently done up to expand into what was the corner shop next door, so it's now got a huge door and some great big windows designed to open fully in the summer. The result is that it's bloody freezing in the winter.
Spent a pleasant few hours chatting, and observing
1.) A drunk man who couldn't get a lift home.
2.) A couple of women who were dropped off by a bloke in a 4x4. They waltzed in and headed for the bar. They didn't buy any drinks as 60 seconds later when the coast was clear (i.e. the 4x4 had gone) they waltzed out again, and straight into a taxi. Dunno what they were up to, but had some fun speculating.
3.) Several people who on a night out with friend spend most of their time talking to other people on their mobile phones.

Busy Last Day at the Office.
Last day at work before Xmas, so very heavy schedule putting things in order before I'm off for a couple of weeks (I've got Xmas week and the first week of January off).
Will probably be tied up in important business meetings all afternoon ;-)
