The issue was less of a technical one, and more of a "which hoops do I have to jump through so that I don't break the rules and regulations - no matter how impractical they are".

If you've got an available USB port, you could've used Firefox Portable on a Thumb Drive. You'd have all your favourites from home with you as well.
