Happy New Year 2012

New Years Eve - went to the Cinema to see the latest Sherlock Holmes escapade - pretty good.  Had a quick pint beforehand in Flanagan's Apple (Irish theme bar on Mathew Street - loads of junk nailed to the ceiling).  Afterwards we walked out of town to the Blackburne Arms on Catherine Street, where we enjoyed live music and beer until the New Year arrived.  Taxi home for snacks, whisky, end of the Hootenanny and now the Blues Brothers on TV.
